Contemporary Biology Module 14

The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) is dedicated to the study and treatment of tumors. Every year they publish their clinical cancer advances. ASCO reports that from November 2015 to October 2016, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved 20 therapies for more than a dozen different types of cancer. Immunotherapy is one of them.  


Part 1: New advances in precision medicine-based approaches.

The company you are working for is asking you to make a Power Point presentation on what you have learned in module #14. They want you to present the new advances in precision medicine-based approaches in no more than 10-15 slides.

Provide a case (Name of the patient with cancer, the type of cancer he or she had, the type of therapy used, an explanation of the therapy, and the results)

Conclusion (This is related to the case you are presenting)

Future directions (This is also related to the case you are presenting)
